We offer three kinds of paint, all of which are exceptionally friendly to you and your building, these include:

EarthBorn ClayPaint (Clay based, zero VOC, breathable, matt texctured finish)
EarthBorn Emulsion (zero VOC, breathable, great coverage, suitable for regular washing)
EarthBorn Eggshell (Zero VOC, oil and acrylic free, paints for both exterior and interior wood)
Osmo; Wood wax and varnish finishes.

If you have any comments on how these paints looked once finished, on the coverage or other performance features please let us know. We are also on the look out for further lines, although the EarthBorn range are currently the only range on sale within the UK that bear the EU Ecolabel.

Category 10: Cleaning

We have a wide variety of ecologically friendly cleaning product. We also top up your bottles; if you have finished your ecover then drop by some time and top it up, refills are both greener and cheaper. Our cleaning products include:

Ecover washing up liquid.
Ecover multi-surface cleaner.
Ecover toilet cleaner.
Earth-Enzymes; a non chemical way to clear your drains.
Bio-D; natural glas cleaner and polish.

We have a slection of energy saving and recycled products in our kitchen section. These include:

Biodegradeable bin bags.
Recycled aluminium foil.
Compost caddy, a ceramic container to keep food scraps in before moving to your compost heap.
An Eco-Kettle to enable you to heat water one cup at a time, boil just the water that you need.

Category 5: Lighting

We have a superb selection of lighting. However, lighting needs are diverse to if you couldn’t find what you where looking for then please leave us a comment and we will see if we can source your desired product. Currently our lighting ranges include:

Options in both screw and bayonet fixings are usually available.
Classic incandescent light bulb shaped compact flourecent bulbs.
Dimmable compact fluorescent bulbs…yes they do exist!
Bulbs ranging from 35-150W equivalent.
Extremely compact ‘ping pong’ bulbs for even the smallest light fittings.
Candle bulbs.
Bulbs lasting 6’000-30’000 hours; incandescent light bulbs usually last 1’000 hours.
LED’s that consume only 4W of energy.

Our lights are on display and many have been trialed by the shop staff, but we are still keen to get more feedback on lighting performance in your home and reports on bulb lifetime.

Category 4: Alternative Energy

The alternative energy section is currently focused on every day consumer usage, not household power. We do however offer solar thermal heating systems and will soon be offering wind turbines.

Current consumer goods in Alternative Energy section:

If you have any comments on our Energy Saving products then please leave them here. We are keen to know how our products are performing, and if you find a superior alternative lest us know and we will consider stocking it. This category includes:

Wireless energy meters for monitoring household energy usage and displaying real time information in a convenient location, rather than high up above a door!
Intelli Plug and Intelli Pannel for monitoring PC and laptop energy usage and automatically turning off peripherals when not in use.
Rechargeable batteries and charges. Remote control power switches for turning off tv’s at the wall in a convenient manner.
Rechargeable batteries that are recharged by plugging them into a USB port.
